Terms of Use — Converge

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Converge ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is provided by Silkway Studio ("we", "our", "us").

Description of Service

Converge is a gesture-driven knowledge structuring and mind mapping application for iPhone and iPad. It allows you to create, edit, and organize visual maps, and includes an AI-powered import feature that converts PDF and text files into structured mind maps.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Converge. If you are under 18, you must have your parent's or legal guardian's permission.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you create in Converge, including mind maps, text, and any files you import. We do not claim any rights to your content.

You are solely responsible for the content you create and import. Do not use Converge to create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

AI Import Feature

The AI Import feature processes files you select through a cloud-based AI service (Google Gemini). By using this feature, you acknowledge that:

Selected file content is transmitted to external cloud servers for processing.
AI-generated mind maps are approximations and may not perfectly represent the original content. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the output.
You have the right to upload any file you submit for processing. Do not upload files containing sensitive personal data of others, confidential business information, or material you do not have permission to share.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the App or its cloud services.
Use automated means to access or interact with the AI Import feature beyond normal personal use.

Intellectual Property

Converge, including its design, code, logo, and name, is the intellectual property of Silkway Studio. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or other intellectual property beyond the right to use the App as intended.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Converge is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Silkway Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Converge.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Converge offers auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features, including AI Import. By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Silkway Studio does not collect or store your payment information.
Current subscription plans: Monthly ($2.99/month) and Annual ($19.99/year). Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Your App Store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a subscription period. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their Report a Problem page.
Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period after notice.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App or its cloud features at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Converge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Silkway Studio operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
